“I’m not a straight-line person…”

Have you ever had a recurring dream that stirs your soul — revealing deep truths about your life?

For years, I had an unsettling nightmare where I wandered through my house only to find a room that I didn’t know existed.

The consistent nature of this nightly vision led me to a dream interpretation book where I quickly located the meaning behind this nocturnal catalyst: “You have an unrealized talent waiting to be discovered!” What I had confused as a nightmare turned out to be a gift that awakened me to my latent talent and a committed passion.

Fast forward to today, I am an American artist best known for colorful figurative and abstract paintings. Whether it’s my figurative work or abstraction, what excites me is the universality of human emotions that is revealed through the process.

I am constantly intrigued, how a single mark or line can serve as a starting point for an intuitive celebration of creativity. My paintings are created by building layers of paint, using a variety of drawing tools, obliterating areas, and adding more to create complexity that draws in the viewer — possibly to unlock a latent passion of their own.

The love for color has always been a large part of who I am. I hope that with my paintings, in a society immersed in technology and commercialization, the viewer will feel connected and alive. Making art is my way of expressing love for and appreciation of life.
